Christopher Ogden

Chris “The Finder” Ogden came up through the “exploration diving” ranks from an early age by crewing on multiple NJ dive vessels and the mentorship of the New jersey wreck scenes pioneers.  Mr. Ogden has developed and been a significant part of the D/V Tenacious Dive Team.  While on D/V Tenacious, Chris has played a crucial part in many historical discoveries far from our shores.  Exploration diving starts in the archives, thousands of hours of research, and in the hand written logs of fisherman who share the same ground.  While having a day job as a project manager, building the NYC skyline and supporting a wife and two young children, Chris is immersed in Maritime research and discovery.  A typical quote from Chris would be “Man, I love when I accomplish something that everyone says cannot be done, or, there’s no better feeling than re writing history!  Chris has also worked on multiple deep diving projects around the country including the Mote Marine lander project in Florida where they set a station down in the Green Banana at 400’ deep, PushButton Hill project where he explored deep water Black coral at more than 600’ deep, the SS West Pont identification where he researched, scanned for, dove, and identified this deep shipwreck sitting on the edge of the continental shelf.  Chris was also a helped find the U-550 in very deep water and regularly dives the infamous Andrea Doria, in addition to many other amazing projects. Chris is an all around Maritime Explorer whose thirst for the sport is endless.
